Our owner, Kenny Keyser, is a native Long Islander and has an inherent familiarity with the climate, terrain, native plants, and optimal growing conditions, and therefore, a natural understanding of how to make the most of any Hamptons landscape and gardens. Our work spans 23 years of expert landscape and garden experience on Long Island.
When we design a garden, we ensure it is sustainable to our local environment. You hear a lot of words like native and organic, but what does that really mean when we talk about your garden?
Native plants have developed over many years in a particular region. Why do we design with native plants? They save water, they don’t require fertilizer or pesticides, they are resistant to local weather, they help in controlling erosion, they restore natural habitats and preserve biodiversity. Bottom line, they create a balanced landscape that is easier for you, the property owner, to maintain.
We design with a variety of native plants and also integrate non-native plants where we know they will thrive. Not all natives will survive the climate of Long Island, and not all landscape companies understand that. Trust a designer that understands Long Island and understands the plants that grow here.
Kenny has a strong relationship with Costa Rica. He visits whenever his schedule allows. The landscape in Costa Rica is rich in color, form, and texture and Kenny treasures the time he gets to connect with this magnificent landscape.
Not all tropical plants are suited for landscapes on Long Island, but Kenny has identified a tropical planting palette that grows well in the Hampton’s climate. For clients looking for a tropical garden moment, tropical planter pots, or an extensive tropical garden planting – Kenny Keyser Landscapes & Gardens is the most qualified at bringing a tropical garden aesthetic to the climate and exposure of the Hamptons area.

As a strictly organic landscape company, Kenny Keyser Landscapes & Gardens, is helping improve the environment of Long Island. Organic gardening helps prevent a loss of topsoil, water pollution, soil contamination, and most importantly elimination of insects, birds, critters, and other beneficial soil organisms. Our work enhances and restores the natural and delicate balance of the landscape by integrating pollinator gardens, butterfly gardens, restoring natural meadows, and utilizing environmentally friendly landscape practices.
